Why RM?

Chiao: Pastor Tin, it is a great pleasure to see you today. When we first met, you were only a teenager and not yet a believer. But I remember you were very talented in technology. It was the beginning of the Lunar New Year and firecrackers were not allowed in Hong Kong. You made firecrackers out of a matchbox, which made a deep impression upon me. Later you went to Macau for studying. Eventually you also studied theology and was ordained as a pastor. For a long while, we kept in touch only through occasional phone calls. Then I learned you had developed many skills for ministries. You studied in several seminaries and are very strong in evangelism. You also graduated from formal Chinese medicine study and are skilled in acupuncture and Chinese kung fu. Now I want to ask, there are so many organizations in the world that need, and you are a very busy man. RM happens to be just a very small organization, serving special needs children with cerebral palsy, blindness, and autism. Their human and economic resources are very limited. Why do you support RM? Whenever our team visited Los Angeles, you always opened your church and encouraged your church members to support us. Why?

Tin: I believe those who are most vulnerable are the ones in greatest need.  These special needs children with cerebral palsy, blindness, and autism are helpless. They do not have the ability or opportunity to speak up for themselves. They need comparatively healthy and capable people such as you and I who can bring forth awareness and raise support for them. We want more people to get to know them and care about them.  Since they can neither see nor speak, how can they get help? Jesus taught us Christians to be loving like Himself. “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones ... that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Matthew 10:42Chiao: Exactly, thank you very much for your wholehearted support. I'd like to ask you to say a few words to encourage churches and friends who do not know RM. Please appeal to them for their support.Tin: Well, RM is dedicated to doing only one thing -- serving special needs children and their families in China. It's a long-term commitment and full of challenges. It takes a lot of people working together to help. Donation is also a great way to provide support. So, if God is gracious to you and the church has the capacity, I urge you to get involved in RM’s ministry. With your help, they will be able to reach out to those who are in great need in China.Chiao: Well, after seeing this short video, I hope you are touched. Pastor Tin is very busy, but he still finds time to support us. I believe none of us are as busy as Pastor Tin. Apart from pastoral work and healing ministries, he travels all over the world to minister to different groups of people. But whenever he has the opportunity, he supports us. I encourage everyone to co-work with Pastor Tin to help those special needs children with cerebral palsy, blindness, and autism through RM. One day when you are before the Lord Jesus, He will say, "Well done!”.Tin: Yes, praise God!
