Shower room Repairs for Fu Xiaoping's Recovery

Xiaoping Fu is 12 years old and has just graduated from primary school. He lives in Fugong County, Yunnan Province. His parents divorced when he was very young. His father has struggled with alcoholism for years and rarely returns home, so Xiaoping now lives with his grandmother and great-grandfather.

When he was just one year old, Xiaoping suffered a spinal injury in an accident. Due to the family's circumstances, he was

Iunable to receive timely medical treatment. It was not until he was six years old that the abnormal curvature of his spine was discovered. With the generous support of compassionate donors, he was able to undergo his first spinal surgery.

In 2025, two areas of Xiaoping's spine began to protrude again. In June of that year, after Teacher Chen and Rainbow co-workers visited his home, they decided to support him in receiving further treatment. In early September, Xiaoping underwent his second spinal correction surgery. By God's grace, the operation was successful.

Throughout his treatment, this brave and resilient boy has remained positive and cooperative. However, his surgical wound has occasionally become inflamed and slow to heal, largely because of the limited sanitation conditions in his remote mountain village. His home did not even have a proper bathing facility.

This July, Rainbow Missions reached out once again by building a shower room for his family, hoping to provide a cleaner environment that would help his wound heal more effectively.

Today, Xiaoping is still recovering and requires ongoing care, but a new chapter has begun in his life. Over the past year, he has smiled more often, grown in confidence, and is no longer the shy boy who used to hide from the camera.

We thank the Lord for allowing us to meet this family in a remote village of Yunnan. Through practical acts of care, they have experienced the love that comes from Him. This September, Xiaoping will begin junior high school. May his path ahead be filled with light. May he remain courageous and steadfast, with a heart always full of love.

Jesus said: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
