Hannah’s Story

Dear Rainbow Missions brothers and sisters,

Hello everyone! I am Sophie, Jiayin’s (Hannah’s) mother. I want to thank the Lord for His love and thank you for praying for Jiayin and providing funds for treatments and therapy.

When Jiayin was born in April last year, she was diagnosed with jaundice and received Blu-ray treatments to treat the jaundice, but the jaundice was still very high after a month, an MRI showed jaundice had caused structural changes to her brain, which could result in serious disabilities if we did not begin rehabilitation intervention immediately.Doctor said she needed at least a year of rehabilitation. As a result, I was almost on the verge of collapse.

I had worked in a rehabilitation center before. I knew something about similar cases, and my mind was filled with all kinds of negative guesses. The cruel reality of possible lifelong disability overwhelmed me like a tsunami.  In addition, my husband was now the only wage earner to support our family of four.  Before us were huge treatment costs over an unknown length of time. Jiayin’s coordination was poor; her strength was weak.

When I was most depressed and at a loss, Ms. Tina in the US expressed her care and informed P. Rain about our situation. They helped me apply for emergency aid through RM.  I am very grateful for their timely help.

Thankfully, she slept well and the treatment was effective. She slowly improved to the point the MRI showed almost normal brain structure and intelligence. We prayed for continued healing.

The doctor advised her to have another MRI examination when she is 2 years old.

She is now one and a half years old and has a very lively personality.

Her language, social and imitation skills are very good, and her hands-on ability is also very strong. For example, she can eat, read, throw rubbish, and pick up cups and drink by herself.  She can turn lights on and off, mop the floor, wash vegetables and so on.

Her recovery is a miracle.  I believe our loving, faithful, and generous Father worked through you making Jiayin’s amazing recovery possible.  Thank you, RM.  I wish you every blessing.
