Exciting Changes

Happy New Year!  I wish you God’s blessings of good health, peace, and joy!

Although the virus limited everyone’s activities, it couldn’t limit God nor His work through RM.  I’d like to share exciting changes in 2021.

First, in January we began using video instead of just text on our monthly e-newsletters.  Praise the Lord for Ricky, a smart, capable, hard-working, loyal, and reliable A-V co-worker and his better half Tina, who is humble, kind, understanding, and fully supportive.  Ricky made continuous progress in video productions, including graphic design and editing.  He creatively launched touching life stories from our field and the latest activities of RM.  We applaud Ricky for his accomplishments and thank God for him.

The virus may have prevented us from field visits, but God miraculously established a team there.  In 2017, YY was called to become our full-time field staff.  Over time, YY grew more mature spiritually and dealing with people.  In 2020 she married godly brother Xiaohu and moved to SY, where she met Apollos and Hannah at a local church.  In addition to serving faithfully in church, they provide loving care and support for their 18 y.o. son with autism.  They understand the struggles and challenges of parents with special needs children.  Through YY, they came to know the vision and mission of RM.  After much prayer, God led them to join us as field staff.  Teamed with YY, they’re planning to develop the ministry for a local parent support group and get in touch with local Christian organizations to build partnerships with RM.

In CC, God raised up godly and loving sister Nancy to be our field staff to support the teachers, parents, and children at the Autism Rehabilitation Center. God has been using Nancy to help teachers and parents grow spiritually.  She visits visually impaired students, celebrates their birthdays and various festivals, and enables them to face difficult challenges at school.  She helps them feel at home despite being thousands of miles away from their families.

RM is a bridge.  While our field staff are reaching out, we will continue to share our vision, connect with sponsors, and invite others to join us in supporting children with special needs and their families to build faith, experience God’s love, and find hope through our services.

Thank you for supporting RM.
