BLISSFUL & BLESSED

BLISSFUL & BLESSED

Hi Irene.

Hello, Chiao Mama.

I know that ever since you and your husband Samuel believed in Christ, you’ve both lovingly served the Lord. Whenever RM coworkers visited your city, you were willing to open your home to them. RM is an organization that cares for children with cerebral palsy, visual impairments, and autism. Given RM’s focus is quite different from the ministry of "Blissful Cup" and you are very busy, why are you still willing to support us?

Chiao Ma, it isn’t easy owning a house in the US.  We thank God for giving us a brand-new house which didn’t require a down payment, interest payments, or electricity bills. We are so grateful we call it the "Blissful Cup” to symbolize the cup of God's blessing that overflows. We’ve opened our house for brothers and sisters to conduct Bible studies here and welcome those who come to serve in the SF Bay area. When we learned RM was coming to the Bay Area and needed accommodations, we were happy to receive each of you.

When we visited the Bay Area the second time, you not only accommodated us, but you also got involved with us in the service. I still remember that one day after the service was over, we did devotions together, which was great.

Back in 2017 when the RM team stayed in Blissful Cup, I didn’t know much about the ministry.  Through your enthusiastic serve and love for the country, I learned a lot.  I also saw God leading   us to participate. I was very touched while we served together and heard life-changing stories and saw the needs of disabled children and their families in China. In 2019, we visited Seattle and were graciously received. I wanted to learn more about RM so I, too, could be used by God.

The pandemic in the past two years has had a great impact on the world and brought RM many challenges, but God’s work must continue. The needs of disabled children are still there. When our team visited the Bay Area earlier this year, everyone was very supportive and helpful. When RM invited you to get involved in a new area, you were very happy to partner with us.   Can you tell us more about the collaboration and your plans?

To continue supporting special needs children to receive education or rehab training, RM invited me to serve in their sponsorship program. Since I live in the Bay Area and would need to serve across states over long distances, it wouldn’t be easy to communicate.  I thought it was too challenging, so I said no to God.

What did God say?

God told me: "They are not only trans-state, but trans-national." Ah, are they not just interstate, but transnational, serving the country from Seattle? You can only obey when you hear what God says. For with man, it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. This time I came to Seattle not only to get to know more about RM, but also learn how to effectively operate the sponsorship program through which to bring God’s love from the US to China so that He may be glorified.

Let us join hands together. I hope you all support us together also.

Praise God!
